Help and Advice
HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER AGENCIES?
Firstly, we specialise in Pharmacy. We focus on Pharmacy and Pharmacy alone. Secondly, Pharmacy Recruit is founded by a New Zealand trained pharmacist who has worked in the industry for 25 years. Our director, Amelia remains a practising pharmacist today. She can engage with you on any level of discussion from market pay rates to clinical services offered and understands everything that goes on in a NZ Community pharmacy.
IS PHARMACY RECRUIT OPERATING NEW ZEALAND WIDE?
It's nation-wide, we cover all of New Zealand and we now tap into Australia if you need us to. We pride ourselves on relocating staff from cities to regions and areas of shortage but we also help pharmacists and technicians who want a fresh start in a city location pharmacy.
DO I PAY IF I AM A JOB SEEKER?
Ordinarily, a NZ-based job seeker will not pay a fee for our services. This is because the employer pays our recruitment fee. We will ask you to pay for a police check to be done if we are going to advocate for you and you can't provide a recent one for our records.
If your placement is difficult due to visa requirements and you are already in NZ, you may be asked to pay a fee for the administration involved in finding you a job (usually $800+GST)
If you are not in NZ yet, yes there is a fee split into two installments for our services. $1500 at contract stage and $1500 when your visa is issued.
HOW MUCH DOES THE EMPLOYER PAY?
The Pharmacy Recruit FEE is based on the ANNUAL SALARY PACKAGE of the employee. This is the aggregate of salary, relocation, temporary accommodation, and fees paid if negotiated (APC, PDA, NZPS).
The fee calculation structure for permanent placements is 10% +GST. For part-time placements, the above percentage is calculated on the pro-rated salary. If you'd like to know more details find our Terms of Business here.
